can anyone explain to me how to stop the gratin noise from my impeller? i may have ruined something in there because at first i would leave the filter on when it wasnt properly primed. i didnt think it mattered.

k didnt work... i think i might just hire a free lance fish guy to prime it for me

ok the new hose just came in. i cut the last one wrong. this is gonna be my last attempt for priming this bad boy finally.

U got it. More like a grating noise. Well right now i tightened everything but i think i found the problem... I cut the tube at the top for a piece i shouldnt have cut... :/ thats why theres a huge air gap... I might have to buy a new flexible pipe now... I feel dumb.

Can't really describe the sound. Doesn't sound smooth though.

Well i think i did see a few air bubbles but as soon as i lifted the tube the air just came out. I cant really cant see anything else i did wrong.. there aren't any kinks or loops either. Oh there's actually an open elbow like piece that i attached to the end of the tube and that hole maybe...

Am i supposed to wait a little before the water starts shootin out of the outtake pipe or is it instant? It's not working and i have no idea why... like the water seems like its keeping the siphon, and once i open the valve it goes down but when i turn on the filter the water only comes back up...

ahh once i release the output valve the water automatically shoots back down... should i turn on the filter while the valve is still closed and immediately open the valve after i turn on the filteR?
