Whilst I know relatively little about fish (thats why I am here so I can indulge my hubbys hobby more knowlegeably) my big thing is small animals. Me and my partner are in our second year of breeding and showing our own pedigree guinea pigs. My everyday hobbies include playing/teaching piano....and i also teach sign language (BSL).... whoever wouldve thought it i only started level 1 three years ago!!!

- I had a 20g community tank until 3 weeks ago.
When I decided to take the plunge and finally allow my partner his ultimate fishtank........
He wants a 5ft tank to keep bigger fish he claims have personality haha.
I agreed on two conditions
#1 The tank was bow fronted ( I know someone will pipe up they distort the look of the fish lol but I like the curves opposed to rectangular boxes)
#2 I have final say on the cabinet it sits on.... If I had my way it will sit on a solid walnutt cabinett hahaha
my first thoughts as tankmates for the 5ft tank was a few green terrors. I had thought of keeping discus but all the palaver with reverse osmosis and the fishes sensitivity to its surroundings make it ambitious for a begginer lol.
I shall carry on looking for ideas regarding stocking as I know I would only be able to put the one terror in there, and I also know I will have to compramise with my o/h but I will have my say as I have to look at it as well
