I have a group of scarlet badis in a 40 gallon. They breed regularly and are a great, interesting fish. I think ten gallons would be the minimum but for only one male - the males are territorial and will chase males (and sometimes females) from their territory. I think a single badis would...
That looks great! A pair of poison dart frogs would do well in there. They will need daily misting of tank, live fruit flies and research to learn more about them. :)
Hi. I have 3 Neocaridina Shrimp that I want to move to a 5 gallon on their own. My question is, will the population self-regulate for the size/resources of the tank? There will be no predators in there.
I had my arm in one of my tanks and I felt a pinch. I look down and there's a little neocaridinia shrimp on my arm. I've never heard of them biting before. And then, I exacted my revenge (j/k).
I get mine from a fish store that has them in baggies of water. I keep the baggie in the fridge. I usually add extra aquarium water to the baggie because the worms seems to last longer.
I hope your fish are okay.
As a teacher, I thoroughly approve of winter storms. Winter storms = days off. Our Winter Break ended Friday, but we haven't started school yet due to 2 snow days. :)

LOL! Fire belly newts are now $50! You used to be able to buy those for under $10. I had a group of them for 7+ years until they escaped from a temporary container when I moved.
I had been considering setting up a new enclosure for newts again. They are a lot of fun.
That's a good question. I don't know. I found a few sites that had a very good selection of newts, but emperors were all sold out. This was the first site where I found them available.
