I use one teaspoon of Aquarium Salt per 5 gallons in my tanks. It is best to take some water out and mix the salt into it then slowly pour it back into the tank after it has dissolved. Please keep in mind that if you have a Planted Aquarium or Snails salt is not friendly towards them.
