I bought a large Laceleaf Java fern, and a large Anubias. They're pretty plants. I hope to get more of them.

I have one 13 gallon tank with 2 kuhli loaches. I plan on getting more fish, hopefully guppies or platies. I've owned bettas, tetras, guppies, barbs, and corys.

Okay. How will I know what PH they need when I'm at the store? Like, if I see a bunch of cute, docile freshwater fish, and want to get them? At the store, all the tanks look really similar. No seashells or anything... I actually have some coral. But I would like to test the water and consult the...

I mean, mixed as in mixed fish. Like, different species. What's GH? It may be expired, I'll look. I've had the kuhlis for a while...and technically my brother owns one of them.

I'm not sure what my PH is. Doesn't coral raise it?

I really am a noob to fish - but a kind one. I do my best for them. I plan to make a trip to the store to get some live plants soon. The only fish in my current tank are a pair of kuhli loaches. They just hang out.
