Maybe... I just can't think of anything else that could have gone wrong, other than maybe he found a tiny pebble and sucked it up (not likely, but still), or he didn't like the algae and starved. Nothing else seems to point to his sudden death! :crazy:

My SAE just randomly died. He was doing fine, eating the algae I've got on the tank walls and hiding around whenever the lights were bright (I guess he's nocturnal ;)). However, a couple days ago, I found him lying upside down on the bottom of the tank, completely out of the blue. No other signs...

Yeah, I just found a picture I took yesterday, less focused but shows the fins quite well.

Okay, I just looked and I think it's a girl, but I'm not sure so I'll describe it to you. There are two little triangular shaped fins with one longer fin between them. With just the triangles I'd think it would be a girl, buuut the fin between them confuses me because my molly has a bigger fin...
