Thanks for the link, Wilder. Willtang, I don't know how old he is. I bought him 4 months ago from a pet shop. The lump doesn't seem to be getting any larger, so I hope it's just nothing.

That's exactly how it looks. The lump is protruding on both sides of his little tail.

Wouldn't a light act as a heater? In my aquaview, the light seems to keep the water pretty warm. I put my finger in there one day to fish out a pellet, and I was like "wow, this is nice!" :P

I have my betta in an Aquaview tank, and he likes to flair & wiggle at the electric cord. At night, whenever I cut the room lights off & keep the tank light on, he jumps around and flairs like crazy. I don't know if he sees his reflection in the glass or what. :)

I've been looking around for some nice plants to put in my tank, but the ones in the pet stores & wal-mart are so expensive compared to how cheap they look. I know that I can find some nice-looking plants at the dollar store that match the decor in my house & compliment Patrick's color, too...

Haha! I agree. My betta likes to watch me at the computer. And when I turn my head & catch him watching me, he'll startle and get all agitated! :lol:

Wow, these tanks are really nice, but aren't you guys afraid of water damage near your equipment--spills and things? I have my tank on a separate table all by itself, and I have the table pushed up against the wall to avoid traffic. Maybe I'm just paranoid...

Does anybody else's betta do this? Patrick will be pretty busy building a nest, then after a while he'll destroy it with his fins by agitating the surface. He'll do nose dives from the top of the tank. :unsure: He's pretty interesting to watch.

I would have gotten a 1gal minibow if they were available. I like the base, and the viewing area in the front. Right now, I have my Aquaview backwards on my table because I want that flat viewing area.

Well, I'm starting to see a film on the top of the water already, so I don't know...Patrick appears to be trying to make a nest in each corner, though. :P I wouldn't want to deprive him of that.

Well, Patrick loves his Aquaview tank! He's just been swimming around like crazy & made a new bubble nest last night. And he looks even prettier with the light on him!
