It is Nitrite. Not done a Nitrate reading but Amonia is ok. We only rinsed the filter sponges in the water we took out of the tank. It all started after the water change so I'm thinking it was the treatment we put in?

Hi I've had a tank a good couple of months now. It took weeks to get the Nitrite levels down and the water is spot on now but it seems to be a bit yellowy coloured, and the rocks get green (algie) after just a couple of weeks hence need cleaning rather more frequently than anticipated. Any ideas?
