The tank was running for about 2 days before I added the fish. I have an ammonia filter in that also says it 'removes chlorine and other contaminants'. Sorry about the 'heavy metal' part- I was half asleep when I posted.

About 5 days ago I bought 7 guppies and 2 ghost shrimp for my 25 gal. tank. I now have 3 of my poor guppies left (and my shrimp appear unharmed). I'm willing to accept this sad occurence because all 4 of the dead fish came from the same petshop and died within a three day period. My remaining...
