This happened to my betta too, it took about 2 months for his tail to grow back fully and is now looking much better, colouration is pretty similar just a tiny bit lighter than before. Hi very nice looking betta and tank you have there! How is he settling in!? Photography wise you may want to try macro setting and or a fast shutterspeed aslong as you have lots of light but I dont know very much more about photography!

Also it might be an idea to check if you should remove any carbon from the filter if you use any medication, when I thought I had fin rot the stuff I used said to remove it before using. It turned out to be fin nipping and now he is healing very well, has taken a few weeks but he's back to...

My betta loves investigating any fingers that go in his tank! He happily eats from your fingers and nips them if theres no food! Do betta's like to eat cucumber? He is very keen on pea but not tried cucumber yet.

No need to "Prove him wrong" he was just giving some advice. Upto you wether you take it or not. I have found everybody seems to have different fish experiences anyway its just what you can make work.

I agree this is a very addictive hobby! Ive seen a few red VT and would love to give them a home! And I would love to have a few females some day aswel! Having just had to buy a seperate tank anyway for the one I have now I cant afford to get more :no:

Garlic juice eh? Thats a new one i'll give that a try thankyou! They are in a 15 litre tank but im hoping to get them into a 30 litre asap.

Ok cool thankyou, this morning Zeek is pretty quiet and seems to be hanging around the weedy plant at the back of the tank very still since i changed the water and added meds. Will keep close eye on him. :(
