I think it was a columbian aswell. However my great grandmother wasn't a true enthusiast, so she didn't meet its tank requirements. The poor thing lived its 16 years in a 30 gallon tank with 1 pleco, and 14yo goldfish. There were others but didn't last very long. Anyway thank you guys.
