Is this that rare? too hard of a problem? or do I need to put in more info??

Im new to fish, my tank has been going for about 2 months, we started with 5 danios and 10 ghost shrimp, everything goes ok till one of the shrimp dies for some unknown reason, then the tank goes to poo, the ph bottems out, and the water goes so foggy you cant see in more than 2in and it stinks...
