    Weather Loach.

Thankyou for the replies. :) I'm not sure exactly what other fish my friend has, or how many of the ones i mentioned, but i know its a large tank - around 200 L. I know Angels and Gourami's can be territorial and aggessive at times, but he said he'd had no problems until he took in our Weather...

    Weather Loach.

Hey, Ok... for a start i'd like to confirm that this is a Weather Loach, and secondly are they a type of eel? Every website or caresheet that i've read about them says their very peaceful fish that live happily wih other tank mates, even ones as small as Danios. Awhile ago we rehomed ours to...

    Blockhead Cichlid Tank.

Lol, yeah they are. Their very camera shy... You can just see the female hiding under the filter in the first pic, the male has dissapeared in the plants somewhere. I will try to get a picture of them, but they do seem to run (or swim i should say) for cover everytime i move near the tank, they...

    Blockhead Cichlid Tank.

Yeah, i was well shocked to be honest. I think they may have eaten the eggs because they were bad, or due to the stress of moving from the aquatics shop to mine just 2 days before hand. Hopefully they'll lay some more soon, the female has been very busy today sorting out her lil cave, shifting...

    Blockhead Cichlid Tank.

Typical males, lol! They are a proven pair, and have already laid a batch of eggs 2 days after i brought them, but then they ate the eggs a couple of days later. Fingers crossed hey. Thanks for the advice, i do apprieciate it. :)

    Blockhead Cichlid Tank.

I knew they could be aggressive generally to other fish, but didn't know they'd start on their mate. I'm glad you like the tank set-up, hopefully the fish do too, lol.

    Blockhead Cichlid Tank.

Yeah they are full of character. I wonder why your male went aggressive Emma? Mine better not start anything, lol.

    Suprise Suprise...

Oh ok, lol. To be honest the Blockhead piccys are off the internet too, i haven't been able to take any pics of mine yet... :/ Well the pair seem to be doing ok today, the female has been busy for the last day or so making a new 'home'. Maybe they felt their last 'nest' wasn't suitable for some...

    Suprise Suprise...

Yeah i checked the tank all over for the eggs and couldn't find them, and i haven't seen any lil babies either. The lady at the aquatics shop said they have bred once at least before i brought them. Hopefully they'll try again in the future. Oh, lovely pic of the puppies by the way Darrel. :)

    Suprise Suprise...

If they have been eaten, it would be by the parents... i dont have any other fish in that tank. The tank they are currently in is actually a quarantine tank, i want to move them soon to another tank where again they'll be on their own. Maybe it was just due to stress as i haven't had them for...

    Suprise Suprise...

Ok, today when i checked their tank over... remvoing dead leaves and such i noticed the eggs have gone. I looked around to see if they had been moved, but no... i can't see them anywhere. Im confused now as to whats happened. Any ideas please?

    Platies.

Sadly my lil female died, i found her just now after i got home from work. :( I've brought some internal bacteria treament and will still use that to be on the safe side. I just wish platies were more hardy... they seem to be so fragile and perish at any given opportunity. Thankyou all again for...
