When i look on some topics and discussions, it seems that everyone contradicts each other either by quoting them or just moaning about them. This has happened to me before and i just wonder why some people do this - i mean surely theres a better way of saying someones wrong than just just...
My friend wanted me to ask - she's got a coldwater tank measuring 30" x 11" x 14", and in it she has one golden apple snail. She was wondering whether golden apple snails need a friend and whether she should get another. Are they best in pairs or more or will they mate and have loads of babie...
DO YOU MIND SHOWING RESPECT ON THESE FORUMS?! OKAY - IT MAY NOT HAVE BEEN THE BEST ADVICE BUT AS YOU CAN SEE I'M NEW TO THIS FISH FORUM PLACE AND MIGHT NOT ALWAYS BE CORRECT. I'M ONLY TRYING TO HELP PEOPLE!! SO I THINK YOU'D BETTER BE MORE CAREFUL WHEN REPLYING BACK TO PEOPLE AND SHOW A LITTLE...
I'd suggest only leaving the tank light on for 3 hours a day - because unless you've got real plants, the only use of the light is for you to actually see the fish (i know someone is going to correct me about this but that is what I thought the light was for) You don't want to leave it on for...
I'm not saying it's perfect but i made a lens on squidoo about setting up a tropical fish tank, and i suppose it's worth having a look if you need some help. Don't worry - i didn't make anything up - it's all proper. Just click on the link in my signiture
the problem is where could i put them? i don't really want to get a whole new tank and but new heaters, filters etc, my friends got a tank but it's coldwater so thats no good - any suggestions?
when i want new fish, stupidly i go out and look at them first before doing research
but now i will research before buying them although i bet i'd have the same problem as you're having - if i didn't have bad luck i wouldn't have any luck at all!
in my tank (which is 10" x 12" x 12", (H) X (W) X (D)) i have 2 golden opaline gouramis, 5 small zebra danios and 2 red rainbow fish. I would like to get more fish but i'm worried i'll end up putting too many in - I don't want to overstock the tank. Can i get more fish or should I just leave it?
yes, well most of them anyway. my friends got a golden apple snail in her tank called brian and he does a very good jobs cleaning the tank (of course you still need to wipe the tank with a scrapper, snails can't clean ALL of it)
