I love all the positive comments around here... makes a gal want to stay, ask questions, etc. in an environment where she wont be judged so harshly on her first day....

I cycled my tank for almost a month before i put fish in I check my water daily. Haven't done a water change since I put them in 2.5 weeks ago and they seem perfect. I planned on doing a 75 percent water change at the one month mark take everything out scrub it and vaccum my gravel

I understand what your saying and thanks for your input but as previously stated he wasn't in the best condition when I got him and has improved tremendosly in his new home (for now) unless he acts like hes unhappy or uncomfortable (for now) he stays.

New member, First time fresh water tank setup!

I appreciate your feedback Byron, I'm going to keep them for now. They seem happy, and I don't actually know if the platies are gonna give birth or if they are just fat and sassy. When the time comes I will do what is required for the well being of the fish, because that's what it's all about...

As far as the pleco goes I will do what is necessary when the time comes. And I'm not going to stress myself out about the platies until they give birth.

    Identify the fish.

Good to know, thank you. I will have to do some research, find out exactly what type of species it is.
