The temp for tetras is between 75F ans 77F correct?

I did a water test now with liquid kit and it told me I had nitritesat.50ppm but there strip test told me that I had 3ppm I should trust my kit right.

I am doing a fish in cycle and have tetras I just got a heater and what temp would be good for the cycling and for the tettras? I have been cycling for about a month so it shouldn't be much longer.

It says to replace it once a month like the spongey thing. it is a sleeve that fits over a piece of plastic. This is the filter Here are the cartridges.

Is it safe to put 2 snails in if my ammonia is 0 Nitrite 1ppm nitrate 5ppm I have fish in and they are doing fine.

When I change my filter cartridge that has carbon in it how do the bacteria stay with the filter are they on the walls of it?
