Yes thanks it is Nitrite, the pink coloured stuff! Well, I am going to knock myself out, literally, with the water changes, I changed about 80 litres tonight. No mean feat, any suggestions on how to do this quickly would also be welcomed!

All is well apart from the nitrite which is looking pretty high! I did cycle the tank but I do not think I did it for long enough, 2 weeks! And then I put too many fish in! New to this fish business and messed up! I have done a 50% water change today, should I do this everyday? Thank is 145lts.

Yes it was a brand new filter. Water readings are CH 8 PH 8 TH 10 NH4 0.5 NO2 1 NO3 40 I had the water tested again and was told that onlythe nitrates were a little high now and that all else was normal.

Are all internal power filters noisy, or can anyone recommend a good model that operates quietly? I am setting up a juwel180 with a brand new interpret PF4 filter and it makes too much noise - I am not sure if I can live with the constant buzzing. Whilst the tank lid is closed it is not so bad...

In my experience this is a swim bladder problem, unfortunately my cory died recently after exhibiting this same symptoms.

Hello I have two filters, a Juwel one and a Interpret one, both fit a Rio 180 tank. Which filter is the best? Are they both as good as each other? I went to a shop and was quite confused by the selection and now have 2 filters!! Which one should I keep and why?! Thanks
