    Sick German Ram?

thanks again; i will look into parasite treatments, get some more driftwood, and creep the temp up. she's still hanging on, became a little more active. she's actually expressing interest in food, investigating brine and flake, though i haven't seen her eat yet.

    Sick German Ram?

The temperature is 77f. The ph has always been high in this tank due to my water; about 7.8. the nitrates show up as below 10 ppm on my test kit, and they have always been really low. i also have neon tetras, pearl danios, zebra danios, platys, a loach, a cory, a pleco, and a silver hatchetfish...

    Sick German Ram?

that would be an accurate description. before the cichlids came into the tank, i lost 4 of my 9 zebra danios to a wasting disease as well. after the first two died i euthanized the next as soon as they showed signs, and the other 5 are healthy. a local fish breeder and dealer said the disease...

Zebra Danios Sick; Wasting, Red Around Gills And Fins

It appears red and transluscent, and on one fish seems to have progressed to an actual open wound. Also, the body condition of the...

Zebra Danios Sick; Wasting, Red Around Gills And Fins

Hi all, back again with another question: first of all, thanks a lot for your help when my fish in my newly established tank were dying. it was a case of no mature media and being over-vigilent in cleaning the tank and changing the filter too often. I'm still doing 20% water changes twice...

    Newbie Needs Help!

Thanks so much So instead of changing the replaceable blue cartridge every 2-4 weeks I should just rinse it out in tank water from the water change until it starts to disintegrate . . . I still have h20 (theoretically) from when I inherited the tank with the two big fish, even though it was...

    Newbie Needs Help!

Hi! My family started this tank about a month ago; it's a 50 gallon tank that was given to us with a 10 inch iridescent shark and a 6 inch tinfoil barb in it. For obvious reasons, I surrendured the big fish for appropriate rehoming, and put gravel and live plants in the tank. We started out...
