How do i feed them that without the other fish eating it ? Is it ok for the other fish to eat too? The acaras

i have two acaras… One i got in December he’s an electric blue acara and he was i imagine was 6 months? Or however old they are when they sell at fish stores… he was only a few inches long then. He is now about 4.5 inches long and assuming a year old ? I got a new one who is just a blue acara...
