Hi Sarah. I'm new too and live near you as I'm in Gorleston, so I'll be very interested to hear of any good and bad experiences you have with local shops. Does Lowestoft have an aquatics shop? I'd certainly be happy to travel there to widen my options when it comes to buying fish.

I think I'll make some enquiries at my LFS and see what they have to say re; cardinals. I'll also find out what their PH is and if they 'fiddle' with it at all. I'll ask one of the owners though rather than the knuckle dragger I spoke to yesterday who could only manage to grunt at me...
