I have an air pump for an air pump for a 60 gallon tank in my 15 gallon tank and have a volcanoe and two carbon filter attached to in for my under gravel filter. My question is how does this work? What is the carbon for? There does the stuff get filtered? Wouldn't the "stuff" just float back...

I cant relly tell, but the test strip is bright red not, and that means it is pretty acidic, but there are 3 colors to compare to, and i cant tell which it is more like. The water is hard, but not very hard. If the fish wont know, then why do you need to keep an eye on it?

Ha, this is odd if the store is 45 min away and thay had everything you wanted. Perhaps the price was too high or you just suddenly lost interest. Too bad you waisted your time. I never have experienced this myself.
