Hi all, not sure if this is an emergency, but one of my Zebra Danios seems to have separated from the others in the tank and is swimming rather erratically :sad: It is swimming all over the tank mostly spiralling on it's back and side :sad: It does seem to have a lot of energy though :look...

Hi all, I am currently running a fish-in cycle and have received some invaluable help here :good: What I was wondering is, if I want to put some rocks and pebbles into my tank, what do I need to do to make them harmless to the fish, i.e. cleaning the rocks, pebbles, etc... I live on Orkney...

3 Tiger barbs, 2 Sucking Loaches, 1 other Silvertip and 3 Glowlight Tetras.

But what about it's eyes and guts missing.....

Thanks Truck, I think the water here is particularly hard - is it not effecting my PH level everytime I do the water changes? Any ideas about my poor Silvertip?

OK - got my API Master Kit today and when I went to do the test :rip: :( One of the Silvertips was floating upside down in the water with what looks like most of its insides and it's eyes missing..... :blink: Can't belive I hadn't seen it before now and haven't got a clue what's happened to...

Yes mate, all live and kicking and i'm still changing the water :good: I'm hoping I'll get that API Master kit today, so I'll do a full levels check and post the results here.... I know one thing I've tried to catch these sucking loaches a couple of times :crazy: fast slippery little suckers...

Cheers for that Truck OK, done another strip test - results in ascending order are: Cl2 - 0 pH - 6.8 KH - 0 GH - 8 NO2 - 0 NO3 - Between 25 & 50 And liquid ammonia test this afternoon was 0 Do I still need to do daily 50% changes?
