I have brown algae in my tank and my ammonia is 0. I was told it was normal for a newish tank.

I just wanted to give you guys an update on my betta. Since I put the tablespoon of salt in the tank it seems like the spot on my betta's face is almost all gone :) Yay! :good:

Thank you, it doesn't look silverish it's just faded or greyish looking. I don't really see fuzz at the moment.. but like I said I can't really get a great look at it (my lighting is terrible) I have been keeping an eye on him though everyday. I think I'm going to add 1 tablespoon of salt just...

Thank you :) He really is beautiful. Beth- No problem answering questions. I feed him Aqueon betta food pellets and I only give him a tiny bit at a time. I also feed him freeze dried blood worms. There's hardly any food remaining in the tank and if a pellet does fall to the gravel my snail...

lol :fun: I tried getting a pic of it but it's like impossible. He always moves at the last moment or is always facing the other way. My water stats are 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites, 5 nitrates. I guess I can try again to get a pic.
