I was just wondering if anyone has put a filter on the intake of an external and if so what they used basically to stop fry getting sucked in i have tied a piece of floss around at the moment but its black already and cant seem to find anything made for the purpose thanks

had a look and as far as i can see there is one big basket that sits inside the canister. i think its still better to have a few baskets for different media thanks

Thanks for the reply i did have a 2215 but didnt like having no baskets it was a nuisance when cleaning having to empty all the media out i may just put a filter next to the tank then my options are better

I have just bought a fluval 405 and not really impressed with it especially as its leaking tried every way to put the lid on and seal it but still it leaks which doesnt fill you with confidence. i have a vision 180 so can only fit certain filters in the cabinet so thinking TMC V2 powerbox 400...
