Update: Woke up this morning and every egg was gone :(

Anyone know how long it takes for eggs to hatch? Also should i just try and catch them when they hatch and put in a breeding trap?

Are they ok in a 4ft tank? Around 250ltr

Ok, it seems a koi angelfish and a wild striped one have mated :lol: The koi angelfish keeps rubbing it's underside up against where the eggs are whilst the other one defends the eggs, then they both just defend the eggs. How long would they take to hatch? I guess i'll have to try get lucky...

Ooh exciting stuff! Makes sense, my koi angelfish seems to be guarding them because any fish gets chased off from going near the filter. Anything i should do to protect the eggs? Thanks

Thanks, think i may give away the koi angelfish if i see fighting. Looks like i'll be very careful watching any aggression in the tank, thanks for the heads up :)

Any suggestions what kind of fighter fish i should get? The guy said if i find any one on the internet i like and get the name he'll order it in for me :) also is there any particular ones i should avoid?
