They all perished- initally about 50 from a virus then last week while I was away the heater broke and finished the rest off - that was the final straw for me.

Thanks for that. I will do a water change and clean the filter this eve so should be all set for them. The volunteer is learning the ropes later so I will show them how much food to put in – good point btw. Hopefully they will be fine, I will still be thinking of them while I’m away though.
