    Danio With Odd Shape.

There are no other symptoms whatsoever except it seems a bit lethargic. It is a little thinner than usual and slightly pale. None of the other fish are suffering any illness. The water stats are all normal except for a very small level of phosphate which is present in the water supply. the...

    Ammonia Levels

I had a similar problem a few years ago, I had to use a carbon pad in my filter to remove the medication from the water before any bacteria would grow. Lots of death first. I was NOT happy.

    Danio With Odd Shape.

I have had a pearl danio for about three years now. About a year ago its back began to arch, which I put down to old age but recently it has become a lot worse. It seems to be overbouyant, spending most of its time at the surface. It swims ok when feeding and remains upright all the time. I...

    Sick Fish Please Help.

Not really a fish vet as such but I was chatting to someone in my local aquatic centre who have one visit every so often. I told him that if the fish dies I will let him take a look as this looks like a really odd thing that no one seems to have seen before. If I knew what to do with him I...

They are filled with what appears to be clear colourless liquid. They are all different in size. Apart from the blisters the fish...

    Sick Fish Please Help.

I was told that the filter bacteria turns the ammonia into the nitrates and nitrites And that the regular water changes gets rid of those. Am I misinformed? If so what gets rid of ammonia without the use of ammonia lock? and what gets rid of the nitrites and nitrates? Now I'm confused.

[size=1]Hi I have taken what zoekin8yg said about overstocking very seriously and have bought a much bigger tank. Just to clarify the catfish is in fact a peppered cory and he was put into a hospital tank as soon as a problem with him became apparent. His condition has deteriorated hugely. He...
