I've had him about 4 years now and is a really nice looking fish. Not sure what he is worth really. Does £50 seem a reasonable price ?

Geophagus Brasiliensis approx 8-9 inches in length. Been advised will be too big for my tank so unfortunately having to sell. Quite aggressive towards smaller fish so be kept on own. Collection from Hertford, Hertfordshire. Offer please.

seems like rehoming is the best thing to do what is it worth and anyone interested ??

was told by Pets at Home the fish would only get to about 8-10cm. not my fault its was incorrectly idenified.

the new tank is 100 x 50 x 40cm what size will it be too big to keep in there when he has outgrown that one, who would possibly want it

the fish was in a biorb so its hard to see from the picture the actual size of tank. The fish had enough room at the time! We are only planning to keep the geo in the tank

Just after this picture was taken he was moved in to a 2 ft tank. Have now got a 1M tank, which he will be moving in to in the next week.

Was told by a local fish shop that it was a green terror. Can others fishes be kept with the Geos as that appears to be the fish i have.

Bought this fish from Pets At Home about 3 years ago and was labelled as a cichlid. Picture was taken about 1.5 year ago when in my Biorb. Had to move into a bigger tank as that was quickly out grown. Fish is now nearly 4 years old, about 6-7 inches long and has a bump / pronounced forehead...

The bottom base is located inside the upright panels. However there doesn't appear to be a gap between the uprights and the base. Any ideas ?

don't believe there is a gap but will check tonight for sure. will give an update later. thanks mark.

Is there anyway to see if its floating or not by looking at the tank ?

Many thanks for the detailed response. I have put a polystyrene base down but it does seem like the outer upright glass touches the stand before the bottom piece of glass. Would it be bad news to use a polystyrene base on a floating tank ??
