Is this something to be concerned about?

Here’s a few more pics with the other goldies. The chinky female at least 1.5 inches long but is also the most shy fish in the tank despite being by far the largest one in there.

Is this something to be concerned about?

I’ve had these guys for almost two years now and the gold lasers have always been shy compared to the orange venezuelans and pandas. Noticed that this little fella is a tad pink even though he eats well. Water parameters are 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites and 15 nitrates and a ph of around 7.5. Is...

🐠 TOTM VOTE NOW: April 2025 Tank of the Month Contest (17-30 US gallons)

I'd bite. Here's the 120cm x 30cm x33cm tank in my man cave, which should be about 30 US gallons as I leave about 3cm off the top to get the nice bubbly sound from the filter outlet (plus the glass itself is 1cm thick on all sides - hopefully I don't get disqualified!) I call this my Iwagami...

    Torn tail or fin rot?

Thanks for everyone’s responses. It’s been a fair few days and he seems to be healing well. Also checked the porcelain pots and there doesn’t seem to be any sharp edges, except for the natural surface coarseness. The plastic ‘fake’ pot doesn’t have sharp edges either. He must have snagged...

    Torn tail or fin rot?

That could be it, they’ve been zipping around the two ‘islands’. I’d check thanks!

    Torn tail or fin rot?

Assassin snails? Forgot to mention that there’s two in there to deal with a hitchhiking snail outbreak months ago.

    Torn tail or fin rot?

Noticed this today :( This little fella lives in a 125 liter planted tank with four other orange venezuelan, five pandas, five gold lasers, 3 panda loaches and three otos. Water parameters are 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites and about 5ppm nitrate. He’s swimming and eating as usual and I don’t want to...
