Good to know, thank you. I added some melafix and normally treat the water w/ a small amount of salt when making each batch (so I already have about 3/4 tblsp to each 5 gallons). Can I expect the fins to regrow at the colors they were before?
Linda, the transhipper shipped mine yesterday and they are now here.
The Good News: they're alive
The Bad News: their tail fins are severly messed up. I'm assuming that this is due to the stresses of shipping. Any thoughts? Their color is of course off too and I am not certain that I...
I guess they shipped today (wed) instead. I should have them in the next 12 hours. My biggest concern at the moment is that it is 100F outside, so I have to be around in case they are left at the door! Coming home to boiled bettas would be unsettling.
Rather than buying through aquabid, I contacted Sanya "Interbettas" via email through ebay and asked what special ones he had. Those 2 were my favorites, but I did not ask for other types of bettas.

Is that a good price (looks like you add ~$25 for shipping)?
I'm looking for something that I can put in my office that will really amaze people who have little knowledge of bettas. Where else...
Does anyone here have any experience getting fish through Aquabid? My betta of 3+ years passed today, and now we're looking for a replacement. Any sugestions? I think we're leaning towards a Halfmoon.
Thanks,
I'm about 3 weeks into treatment, and I have now noticed a remarkable difference in my betta's attitude, appetite and appearance; however the white spot is still there. I am beginning to wonder if the white spot is a patch of dead cells that simply never tore to form a hole in the fin. It...
It's been 5 days, and I've noticed the following:
1. I have a 1.5 gal tank. Thought it was 1 gal, thus have been under-medicating slightly.
2. His appetite has improved, but only to about 3 pellets a day. And they have to be falling to the floor, not on the surface or on the bottom... he's...
Are any types of bettas less picky when it comes to eating? I have a 20gal tank, and I'm looking for one that will eat the same pellets/flakes that the rest of teh tank gets (currently Tetra ColorBits).
