thanks for the addvice my grandson has a fish tank he could put them in for me, its a 30 gal.

i have a betta fish (male) in a 1gal bowl. i would like to know if i could get a female betta to go in the same bowl. would the male beat up the female or would the bowl be to crowded? he is in a bowl with a shell he hides in and an ornament. thanks
