A family member of mine has a 10 inch albino Oscar in with a couple of almost full grown common plecos & the Oscar still fancies his chances! The Plecs don't seem too fussed by him though.

I've had guppies go missing before & it's basically been when they've died & become wedged underneath an ornament/rock etc. I find the filter flow & the fish eating them pushes them into the most hard to find places!

In my larger tank I have a school of Cory's in with 4 Plecs. The Cory's laid their eggs around a month ago so I don't think you'll have any problems.

I'm surprised that your guppies attack your Betta! In my community tank I have a red Betta with a couple of Guppies & the Guppies are terrified of him! I know all Betta's have different personalities though. One of my tanks is a similar size to yours & I have plecs, Cory's, a red tailed black...

This may or may not help but my female Platy always hangs low in the water & slightly hidden when she's about to give birth. Also seen similar activity when my Dad showed me the 2 Platies he'd bought but he had them in a tank with no heater! He's a complete novice to fish keeping & the LFS told...

My plecs love mushroom, cucumber & corgettes. They won't touch lettuce or carrots though. I just put them in from frozen & they soon thaw out in the warm water, I weigh them down with a small strip of lead pushed through the base of the vegetable.

I bought 3 Peppered Cory's from my LFS & after having them for 2 months there was eggs everywhere. They were just in a community tank & I now have 12 baby Cory's in their own tank. One thing that is surprising me is how quickly they are growing. Even at only 3 weeks old they are like perfect...

Thanks for the advice guys! One other question I have is how do I go about cleanings tank with the real plants? At the moment once a week I take all decor out of my tank & gravel vac. I'm assuming this won't be possible with real plants. I've always wondered how people go about removing waste...

Hi everyone,   I've been fishkeeping for around 12 years but surprisingly I've never had a planted aquarium. I know the majority of people prefer real plants to artificial ones but with the right imagination you can still do some impressive things with plastic plants & this has always been good...

I once heard something hit my lid & when I went to check I found a Neon stuck upside down on it. The slime & the moisture on his skin had acted like a glue! He was lucky that I was in the room when this happened! Had a perspex cover over the top of my tank ever since!

Hi everyone, I've been browsing the forum for a while now & I thought it was about time I got involved! I've been fish keeping for around 12 years & I currently have 2 tanks; my larger community tank houses Neon Tetra's, Guppies, Platies, Plecs, Peppered Cory's, a Fighter & a Red Tailed Black...
