Hello--I am new here,and just wanted to say hello!! I am Wendy,and live in Mass. I have a 55 gallon and a small 30 gallon that was my hospital tank until I had to move a couple aggressive fish into it....have been keeping fish this time for two years,but have had fish off and on last 20 years...

Oh my goodness--that sounds a lot like my tank!! I honestly completley forgot about the nitrates--feel like an idiot now :*) (in my defense I have three kids and two jobs!!) I will go out today and get a new nitrates kit and see...any other advice-anyone?? thanks already!
