ok sorry ive been really busy lately. the fish that are still alive are doing great. they look good too. i bought all the fish within a 3 month time frame so i still dont know what killed them. had some beauties and unique cichlids too :(, o well i guess ill have to restock it again someday...
would it only affect certain fish? cause I have 7 others that survived without any trouble so far. I cleaned the hell out of the tank yesterday. and i remove any snails that i can see.
mostly mbunas, two jewel cichlids, but they are still alive. and my beautiful demasoni died :(
havent yet checked the ph though ill get back to you on it.
no electric shock i know of, i have an airstone, and the powerhead mix to max. the snails are all pin head size still, so if theres any rotting i wouldnt be able to get them out anyways. I use crushed coral sand for substrate
my timer kicked the lights on in my 55 gal tank this morning, and to my horror there were 6 or 7 dead fish in the bottom of the tank! dont know what happened. my tank has been up and running for almost 2 years without a problem. Ive always done everything I was supposed to, change the water...
thanks for the info ive noticed a few bubbles coming out of the filter even though its going through the impeller. gonna get one of those ladder diffusers today. thanks!
well i went out and got a 48" shop light. toalt cost including bulbs under 30 bucks. way happy too. really bright and looks good. im so glad i didnt buy one of them real expensive fixtures!
a while ago i had made the DIY Co2 system and it is working good. i got the homemade diffuser (gonna order a good one oneday) but i heard that you can run it through the intake of your hang on filter ( ihave a penguin), would this work just as well as your regular diffuser? will i have to take...
hey penguin where did you get the glass pieces from? everyone else thanks for the help. if i did buy a 48" light wouldnt it melt the center brace thus leading to hella problems?
though im not really a beginner, thought this would be a good place to post this. I bought a 55gallon tank from wallyworld (Walmart), and unfortuantely the lighting on it is only fit for 2 18inch 15watt bulbs. My plants are growing great but i wanted more light (1watt for every gallon right?)...
