I have one live plant it is tank. The Nitrate is reading 0 ppm.

Ammonia, niatrate, and nitrite are at zero. The Ph is at 7.2 There is nothing on him, and he isn't flicking or rubbing on anything. Breathing is normal. I can never get a picture of him or I'd show you what it looks like. Every time I try the picture gets messed up and he starts getting stressed.

He has red on the outside of his gills. It wasn't like this before. He is in a 3 gallon tank. The water is fine. He eats with no problem. If you don't feed him fast enough he will jump at you. What could the red gills be?

How many are you planning to have in the 10 gallon? I have a Penguin 100 in my 10 gallon. I love it. It is nice and quiet, plus I can control the current. Someone else might come along and have better advise for you.

He looks so small in your pic. He is very beautiful!

He has only flared a few times. He won't even flare at a mirror. He swims a way from it.

The other side looks the same. He got it a few days ago. It hasn't changed in size. At first I thought he might be getting ick. It does look like a pimple but a very shiny one. I can try and get a better photo if that will help.

Can you see the little white blister in the cirlcle? Can anybody tell me what this is. I'm very worried. Thanks Lilac

Thanks Kiarra, He hasn't gone to the top in an hour, probably more than that. He hasn't eaten anything. I do know it's not strange for him not to eat. He doesn't seem to be struggling, thankfully.

His gills look fine. He doesn't look like his in distress. I haven't seen him go to the top in a long while. I hope the picture came through.

I just brought him home from WM. The poor thing wasn't moving. When we got him into his tank he perked up. Then he started to breath like a glodfish would. He is opening and closing his mouth like one. My other two don't do that. Why is he doing this and can I do anything to get him to...

I just saw my mistake. I should have put 3 gallons instead of 10. Sorry. I wasn't thinking. My betta is in a 3 gallon now. I'm doing WC every three to four days. Is that right?

I was in my LFS today looking for some things for my 10 gallon and saw this. It says it neutralizes chlorine, chloramine, and ammonia. I was wondering if anyone has used it before? I also found another one its Splendid Betta Complete Water Conditioner. Do they work or is it just a waste of money?

I do have a filter that hangs on the outside of the tank. The room temp is around 77F these days. Outside is a lot hotter! The tank is on a kitchen counter. It isn't near the stove or any other appliance that gets hot. It doesn't get any direct light.
