    Best Cichlids For 60Ltr Tank?

Hey all! I now have an empty fully cycled 60 litre tank which I'm going to clean and water check before re-stocking.  I was wondering what the best sort of Cichlids would be for a 60 litre tank? I really need some help and info on this as I'd love to keep Cichlids of a smaller size- any...

Very Odd Question About Sailfin Molly

I've had my Black Sailfin Molly since 24th Dec 2012 now and it shows some rather odd behaviour. Basically it chases my platies around for ages trying to eat their poo. It's not nipping at them or showing any aggression, it just seems to be after their waste. Is this normal as I've not seen any...

    My Betta

I really wouldn't risk it. I tried this and the next day my betta's fins were completely shredded and that was just with one Cichlid! If you can't keep him in his current tank then I would try improvising until you can buy him his own tank, but I really wouldn't leave him in with Cichlids for...

    White Khuli Loach?

It's a 65 litre (don't know what that is in gallons) and it currently houses 1 african dwarf frog, 1 siamese fighter, 1 sailfin molly, 2 juvenile platys and the khuli loach. None of my fish show any aggression towards each other and even my fighter is peaceful. My water readings are as...

    White Khuli Loach?

Hi all! Recently I noticed that sometimes my Khuli Loach has a very pale colouring to it but then goes completely back to normal. Any ideas on what this could be? It's eating fine and showing no other signs of sickness but it just seems a little odd :/

    Bullied Guppy!

Angels and Guppies together just don't mix well I'm afraid. Angels can be very aggressive and territorial which doesn't make them a good community fish :( x

    Platy Not Eating?

I would try giving her frozen bloodworm. Fish go nuts for it and it's really very good for them. A good tip is to buy some frozen bloodworms and hand feed them to your platy using tongs or tweasers.

Most Likely To Survive With Betta?

There are actually quite a few fish you can keep fighters with as I keep mine with 2 Platys, 1 Black Sailfin Molly, 1 African Dwarf Frog and 1 Khuli Loach. My Siamese Fighter was also happy living with gouramis, Shrimp and clown loaches. Just stay away from mixing him in with Cichlids, guppies...

Siamese Fighter Vs Krib Cichlid! Help!

I recently purchased a male kribensis cichlid and today I noticed he was pecking at my Siamese Fighter's fins! The person at the shop said that the two would be fine in the same tank although this is clearly not right. Since I only have the one tank I was wondering what I should do.. Would my...

    I Thought Pearls Were Peaceful!

I had this problem with my Female Gourami. My tank was plenty big enough for her but she still chased my Platys around to the point where one was actually killed. I tried adding more plants but nothing worked so eventually I took her to a local garden centre where they said they would take care...

Will My Kribensis Cichlid Be Sad Without A Female?

Yeah they were in the same tank and had "chosen" each other though had not yet mated.

Pets At Home - Parkgate, Rotherham

All their tanks do indeed share a filter system but if one tank comes down with illness, they close that tank off to the filter system to ensure no other tanks become contaminated. I have two branches near me and I am sad to say that one of them isn't very good at all. The tanks always seem to...

    Fat Froggies

Your frog is lovely :) I feed my female African Dwarf on dried and frozen bloodworm which she can't seem to get enough of! I don't know if this is the same for anyone else but try sticking an algae wafer in there too. x
