If you want something gorgeous and aggressive have a look at black piranha. But I would also recommend a small group of dwarf snakeheads if you also want live plants?

If you get a baby it's the crickets you need to save up for, mine went through about 60 a day

I got mine at 7week's old for £40 and have since found out she's worth about 3x that if she is a good breeder! Happy Times!!

The tank is close to a window but not in direct sunlight, thanks for the advice. I'm going to get some live plants and do more water changes I think. I might try moving the tank to a different area of the house (if im allowed) Fingers crossed that helps. I'm glad my rams are still thriving...

I've got a sandfire leatherback bearded Dragon, she is gorgeous and quite easy to look after when their basic needs are met, they do need a big tank but there is always adults and tanks up for sale online

I have an all pond solutions external 2000 on my 55gal and it does the job perfectly. It is slightly over stocked (my 40 gal cracked) but the filters are quite cheap and all pond solutions provide excellent service and next day delivery. I would just add..don't ask your local fish shop for advice on fish. Most of them sell unsuitable fish because they know they will either die or you will bring them back, it's all a money making scheme. This isn't true of all fish shops, but alot are. What is the catfish? I'm not sure there are any that are suitable for a 5 gallon.  I would recommend that you either rehome most of the fish or invest in a new tank, some of the fry may survive but most of them will be eaten within hours of being born.

I don't like them for general sale as I said earlier, but thus process is being done all over the world and just proves that genes from one animal can be transplanted into another and be expressed successfully. I do think that this should only be done in the lab at the moment but it is amazing...

Looks like a common pond/tadpole snail, probably got in on a plant. I would remove it, they breed like crazy and will cover your tank in a few weeks. However if you keep their numbers in control they are effective algae eaters. I keep them in my piranha tank with assassin snails for that purpose.
