My guppy just gave birth but they are not alive, they are all ball shaped (I'm guessing still in the sacs/shells). I'm gutted.

I've only got plastic plants, I've had a good look really can't see any, maybe she's had them and they've been eaten. I will get a picture of her tonight and upload it tomorrow, do you think there could be something wrong with her? I mean I've had her for nearly a year With a male and never has...

Yeah maybe, she's acting strange, chasing certain fish if she passes them and others chase and peck at her, a male platy is always doing it.

Well I posted this on the 8th September and still nothing, I have kind of gave up, I check her but not as much, I will just let her drop her fry in the main tank as I have no idea when she will pop lol. Thank you everyone for helping :-)

Still nothing, still looking exactly the same. She looks pregnant but no babies...so no idea

I'm beginning to think she's not pregnant, shes still square and still has the black dot and dark belly but she just poops all the time, swimming around everywhere, still eats like crazy. Maybe she's just constipated not pregnant?

Oh good. They all seem to be fine, but still no fry, she looks so box-shaped but still nothing lol I'm getting too impatient now.

Still nothing, but I don't know what will happen to my guppy or my other fish. My boyfriend must have unplugged the heater last night, we had a cold night and this morning the temp was down to 64 :-( I've plugged it straight back on but will anything happen? Would it stop my guppy from dropping...

If you leave her in over night, let her out in the morning, then keep an eye on her as much as you can, if you notice she's acting really different (swimming really fast up and down the tank, or putting her mouth down to the gravel and swimming back) then she is close to having them. All mine...

No fry yet, it's so frustrating waiting. Every time I think she might be giving birth she just does a poop lol. I shall let you know when she has them, if she has any at all.

Looks like it could be very soon, she looks very squared off, so not long. Leave her in over night but if there's no fry in the morning it's best to release her :-)

Thank you, it feels like I've been waiting ages so I keep checking then not seeing any babies so think maybe I'm going mad and she isn't actually pregnant. Thank you for replying :-)
