I am a small town girl who married my high school sweet heart. We have had 6 amazing and trying years together and hope for much more. We have two small boys who are the highlights of my life. I, along with my mother in law, got the boys a 10 gallon freshwater tropical tank for Christmas. When I agreed to the idea she proposed of getting them a fish tank, I had no idea how much thought and work actually goes into keeping fish. The more research I do, the more I am enjoying the challenge. We currently have had the tank for 2 weeks, running a fish-in cycle with 1 male and 1 female platy. We have already started our "learning adventures": my female had babies and by the time I was aware, there were only two fry left. I have since bought a nursery net to keep a few next time ;-) I want to eventually get into a live planted tank and hopefully, after some experience, an upgrade to a larger tank in the future.
