A couple of days ago i had some eggs in the nest and removed the female from the breeding tank. Now i don't see any. Could the male had eaten them or do i just not see them...I didn't feed the male to try not to make him not eat them. what should i do? My female still has eggs and thought...
I put my male and female together and now there are eggs in the nest...he is guarding the nest now and she look like she still has eggs in her... but he just attacks her if she comes close...should i leave her in there or take her out. Will they push more eggs out. I figure if he pushes her away...
I just bought two sponge filters... If they are working correctly should they be sucking a current to the sponge to catch particles in it? Mine aren't. it just blows bubbles out of the tube but the sponge doesn't attract food or anything as it sinks. Can anyone help?

How do you know when the female has eggs and is ready to spawn. And is it ok to have a divider in a 20 gallon tank and let them see each even when they aren't ready to spawn or do i need to make the divider to where they can't see each other?
I have A 20 gallon tank with a divider in it. I have the male on one side and female on the other. Is it possible to just get them ready for breeding and then put the female in the males side to breed them put her back and remove him when neccesary? That way i won't have to set up a whole...
