It could be wrong but that way has worked fine for me.

I Know you cant put 2 males in the same tank but can you put 1 male and 1 or 2 females in together?

I have tried this one and learned the hard way. I have sand in my tank and quite alot of plants, I didn't like the way the plants looked, so i rearranged them. I have had a snail for about 2 months now, and about 3 weeks ago i found eggs on the inside of the hood, i left them alone to see if they would grow, but they didnt. Does this mesn that the snail is infertile, do they need to be fertalised, or can they lad duds? :dunno:

Would it be a better idea to leave a box filter in there?

I have still got 2 box filters running at the same time as the fluval just to get things going, gut i'll take 1 or both out after seeing how things go

I Got a new filter today, its a FLUVAL 3+ apparently its the new model. Any one know if they are any good? Is also got HAGEN on the box.

A under gravel filter came with the tank, but i have never set it up as i have sand

I had 7 guppies, 2 angels, 2 mollies, 2 guramies, 1 apple snail and a blue lobster All of the guppies are dead and the angels are indeed angels :-(, I have another post explaining all thats happened( EMERGENCY. FISH DYING RAPIDLY)

I have had my tank setup for about 3 months, and i am currently using 2 box filters Only now 9 of my fish have died in the same day :-( This may have been caused bu bad filtration :crazy: So, the next thing to do is to replace them. Any ideas on whats good and whats not, would be a great help...
