Hi, I recently purchased a young male convict 4cm and added him to my 80gal aquarium with my Larger female 8cm. I wondering if the 2 will pair up because at the moment the are both at opposite ends of the tank hiding in caves, and if they do come out and see each other the female attacks/Chases...

My big female keeps attacking it and it took bites out of its tail.

Its a big tank idk what size exactly. I have another convict in there its sex is unknown coz i have no idea how to find out its sex, there is also 3 neon tetras 1 red eyed tetra and 3 black neons in there but all the tetras are going to be removed tomorrow.
