Do not do a 100% watter it may harm your fish use the vac, sucking on the end is the fastest way to start it, you could also prime the siphon first.

I heard the same thing, It could help, at right amounts. I was al so told that it can help bring down nitrates is this true?

I don't no how a fishless cycle works, but are you adding ammonia to the tank to start the cycle? I start my tank by putting one fish in after 24 hours of my tank being setup. I then watch my water for about 4 weeks during that time I notice ammoina levels went up, then nitrite levels went up...

I would take the Tetras and Dannios, as to how many fish you want in your tank, stick 1 inch to to 1 gallon rule and consider adult size's because they will grow on u. Have :fun:

I get my fish and supplies a Capital Aquarium in sacramento california The staff there are very nice and Knowledgeable. All there fish seem happy and heathy They don't keep betta's in little containers like petsco and petsmart!! :D

I just did a water test and I got these results Ph 7.6-8.0 Ammonia- 0-.25ppm the color as in between Nitrite- 0.0PPM Nitrate- 5.0 ppm Are these numbers normal?
