Tiger barbs by themselves are fun. They are a very active and curious fish that always swim around and explore. I find them fun to watch. I have 5 right now in a 30 gallon and plan to get 5 or 7 more.

Well i couldnt get all the water and gravel out but nothing broke so i think im ok. I got it on the new stand from petco and everything is ok so far. Lets hope this stand does ok and my fish survive this stressful ordeal.

Would the bubbler go with the fish or the filter bucket? I assume the fish?

Ok i emptied half the tank and kept one bucket full and put the filter media in there. I'm gonna go get a stand tomorrow first thing then move the fish into the bucket while i empty some more water so i can actually lift the tank to the new stand. WHEW BTW thank god for water siphons and 5...

Im thinking about taking out some of the water tonight. Would my fish be ok without a running filter for 24 hours? Also would the filter media be ok as long as i kept it in tank water?

If i ever get a bigger tank I want to switch to mostly sand, i think alot of fish prefer it, especially bottom dwellers. Play sand is ok for fish tanks? How many days should you wait for sand to settle before putting fish in?

Thanks for the input i think ill pass on the ottos to be safe. The frogs seems ok most of the time so far thankfully. I'm gonna add a few more plants for extra cover and just stick wit tiger barbs, maybe mix in a few other barbs.

BTW lady dragon i just tried cutting up a water bottle and it worked perfect it makes the perfect blocker, i dont think hell be able to get past it even on the sides. Looks much better then the plants, thanks!

What about water hardness? My test kit only does ph, high ph, nitrite, nitrate and ammonia. Maybe i should test the water hardness?
