    Buying some dwarf puffers

No. No, again. Not trying to be rude, but telling someone that dwarf puffers will eat flakes and any other food, and are not aggressive to their tankmates, is very, very bad advice. I suggest you click on my "www" button and do some more research. Petsmart always tells people these same...

MAM, how long did your dwarf puffers live? We are trying to figure out the lifespan of them but nobody has had them long enough to know for sure.

Dwarf puffers any info on size?

They will not be ok in a community tank at all. They are best suited for a species tank. They will be about 1" long when fully grown. They need a diet of frozen bloodworms as well as some snails once or twice a week to keep their teeth worn down.

    DwarfPuffers

drobbins, if you can give me your e-mail address I can send you a site that has lots of information on dwarf puffers. I can't post it on here because the admins of this site have banned it due to an argument I had with them. They don't like the posting of other sites or sharing of information...

    DWARF Puffers: Surfers?

Mine prefer to stay out of the current although I will catch them "playing" in it from time to time :D

    Puffs and ghost shrimp

It's funny but I have never had any problem with my dwarf puffers attacking shrimp. I keep a tank full of amano shrimp and my puffers completely ignore them.

    Dwarf Puffs

In other internet forums, we determined that they reach maturity in about 6 months total.

    Dwarf puffers In!!

Congrats!! Yes, they were probably curling from the discomfort they felt of being in brackish water... poor things. LFS's are so ignorant sometimes  Over at the Dwarf Puffer Site, we have many people whose LFS's told them they were brackish.

    Some questions about puffers

You're definitely going to want to get those dwarves a bigger tank in the near future. 6 in an 8-gallon will bring lots of trouble when they get older and grumpier.

    Some questions about puffers

Be sure to never post a link to another site on here or they'll throw a big fit about it. My url is completely blocked by them now.

    Some questions about puffers

I would also like to add that brine shrimp are low in nutritional value and should definitely not be a staple food source, but a treat instead. I also agree with SirMinion in that snails should be a part of their diet.

    Size of Dwarf Puffers

I agree with the others... no more than 6 or so in a 20-gallon. The ones you see at pet stores are always young... probably because they are tank-raised. I've never seen an adult dwarf at a LFS before. As was stated already, they get to about 1" when fully grown. Well, I was going to post a...
