Well when I went to go pick them up the store had a male, a female, and one half the size that I couldn't tell the gender of. Not wanting to risk it, I decided not to get them. This may be a sign that they are not meant for me. Any alternate suggestions?
This is the tank they'll be going in. I'm planning on getting more plants soon to get more biodiversity and hiding places. The lid broke so that's why the water level is down. I'll be filling it up more when I get a replacement.
Oh my! All of the research I've done had said that sparkling gourami were peaceful with other fish. It's a good thing I checked here. Have you had a bad experience with sparkling gourami?
Hello! I'm currently in the process of redoing my 10 gallon and sparkling gourami have caught my eye. Right now my tank has a small school of 6 celestial pearl danios (might add more if possible) and I'm planning on adding 6-8 pygmy corydoras as well. If I were to get sparkling gourami how many...
Thank you so much! Now knowing that those are real honeys should I choose a honey or a group of sparkling gourami? Other fish in the tank would include Celestial Pearl Danios and hopefully pygmy cories.
I'm trying to decide between getting a honey gourami or a group of sparkling gourami for my planted 10 gallon because my store can get/ has both. I've heard by many people that sometimes the honey gouramis in the stores aren't actually honeys so I wanted to make sure before making my decision...
Darn, I was hoping I was lucky and found a pair. Would 1 male be ok in a 6 gallon cube that's densely planted? Or with a small school of nano fish like chili rasboras? I've got some celestial pearl danios quarantining in there while I move fish around to clear up my 10 gallon, so it will be...
I'm thinking about getting a pair of scarlet badis for my 6 gallon planted cube. My fish store currently has 2. One of them is very obviously a male but I'm not sure about this one.
I'm actually not involved with the education portion of the program. My job is to make sure that the fish and aquariums stay healthy and looking good. Plastic is most definitely pollution and I personally dislike plastic plants, but that's what the program uses in the tanks. Hower, we are...
Thank you for all the helpful tips, we are able to keep the rocks and the glass pretty clean with scrub brushes, but it's just the plastic plants that get coated with algae. It's nearly impossible to get it all off. Do you think a hydrogen peroxide dip for the plastic plants followed by a rinse...
