Big fleshy spots on Female Dwarf Gourami. (Bites? Bacterial Infections?)

Hi, I’m having an issue and I am scared for my fish. A week ago these fleshy white spots appeared on my female dwarf gouramis. They share the 80L tank with a single male dwarf gourami and a shrimp. The tank is kept at a nice 24 degrees Celsius and I clean the tank every week and do a 30% water...

Male Betta Fighter with Neon Blue Dwarf Gouramis?

Hi all! So I have had my 80 Litre (roughly 17.5 Gallon) tank for a few weeks now and my first fish; 5 cardinal tetras (which I added after waiting 2 weeks), and 2 Neon Blue Dwarf Gourami (one male and one female, another 2 weeks after the tetras), as well as an Albino Bristlenose Pleco...

New to Aquariums! Is my planned tropical tank good + tips and tricks (Angelfish, Gourami)

Hmm, that’s strange because those are the dimensions but the product page advertises it as a 64 Litre tank... on a volume calculator site it calculates them dimensions for an 88 Litre tank... strange, here is the store page in question, I think I must be missing something...

The tank I want to get is 61 Length x 44 height x 33 width. Would this be too small? If was only to get 2? Maybe if I went down to 1?

I was looking at White Cloud Mountain Minnows, are they a better option? They are hardier than neons but still maintain the colourful looks

I see, is there any kind of harder water tetras or danios I could get instead?

Also I forgot to add, I was thinking of getting a couple shrimp as well but apparently Platys can sometimes eat shrimp as they get a little larger. Also I read that shrimp should not really be in the same tank as fish as they tend to hide away and not eat! Is this true? I could just forget the...

New to Aquariums! Is my planned tropical tank good + tips and tricks (Angelfish, Gourami)

Ok, just a quick update! I went to see my friend’s fish and they were in a bit of a bad condition squeezed in that tank and the water was very dirty, I said I wouldn’t be able to take any if he’s fish but I told him that he should find some kind shelter for them or take them to Pets-at-Home(as...

I see so RO water is the only option really... Luckily I checked in with my local pet shop and they provide it. So if my tank is 64L(14 gallons) should I try to have half of that 32L pure water at all times?

Thank you for the advice. Would a water softener work almost as well? Or would it be unhealthy for the fish?
