The sick platty is reluctant to eat now Had a look at their poo and some of the platties have long ones with either white or clear sections in it these are only small sections and the rest looks a normal colour.

Can you actually read what i wrote? If you can did you understand it? I said less than 10 hrs can cause brown algae I THINK! not that it will then More than 12 can cause the green stuff! And as for the article isn't it for advice like this forum so what makes you right and that wrong?

Usually for a 12 hour stint no more than that 10am - 10 pm mostly less than 10 hrs can cause brown algae i think and more than 12 hrs gives ya more of the green stuff.....

Actually it looks ok now no signs of any whiteness or any heavy breath

Just a few of the platties and the angel flick occasionally Their gills look ok to me I added some tetramin plant food last weekend with the new plants, no meds added I have the venturi running on the fluval 3 for extra aeration but the water surface is quite agitated anyway

They are flicking and some of the platties have a gasp now and then at the surface they seem to be the only symptoms though. Cheers Shane

I dont think its that Wilder but thanks for the link. The rest of them look fine although they are flicking a bit could be parasitic i suppose from the plants. I was going to use protozin but i have a shrimp any ideas anyone?
