    Archer Wants My Attention

Archer fish need brackish water when older, so wouldn't be compatible with any of the fish you mentioned @Gregl

    Looking Into Brackish!

Hi Everyone! My LFS happen to have Scats, Monos, and Archer fish in at the minute, i'm really interested in trying brackish. Never tried Brackish but i have a decent amount of experience in saltwater and a lot of experience in freshwater. The tank i'd keep the fish in would have to be suitable...

    My Small Setup

Yeah shortly after posting i read about them, 4" really is too much for this tank, i'll wait till i have my larger tank set up! My LFS has 2 types of shrimp in, but they're quite pricey!

    Stocking Plans.

Cichlids (no dwarves and no diggers)... This rules out all the Geophagus, Apistogramma,Most of the new world species thinking about it, Cichlids are known for being quite good diggers. If you wanted to keep Bushfish you'd need at least 3-4, they don't do great on their own IME and a pair is...

What To Replace Rehomed Fish With?

I'd personally remove the pearl gouramis, replace them with a smaller gourami species, then try another group of tetra, something blue/green as you already have the other end of the colour spectrum in the serpae.

How To Tell Which Angelfish To Keep?

As Mike OS said, all Cichlids will bicker and nip, they're like women in that way! Personally speaking, i'd get rid of the Koi and Gold/white,they're the less natural morphs amongst the group you have, but thats just me, i prefer keeping fish that are as close to natural as possible, i'm not...

    My Little Steiny

Gold And Blue Rams - Male Or Female?

As above, both look male but they're small so one could turn out to be a female, even both

Ideas For Fish For The Top Of My Tank Required :)

Celebes Halfbeaks Nice fish, don't grow big at all, around 3" maybe a little more. Carnivorous so make sure to feed them frozen/freeze dried or even better, live food. Marbled Hatchetfish Need to be kept in decent sized groups, carnivorous again so you should feed them similar foods. they...

How Often Do I Need To Disturb My Sand Substrate?

Was about to post a very similar reply, +1 to the above

Why Isn't The Message Getting Through?

This is what really gets to me, how can an LFS know when a tank will be ready? The only way an aquarium can 'settle in 4 days' is if you use mature filter medium, you cannot set up a tank, leave it 4 days then chuck the fish in, why do shops not realise that they're sending a lot of the fish they...

Why Isn't The Message Getting Through?

The double recession has played a major part if you ask me, almost everyone is worse off than 5 years ago, so almost everyone has to try to earn more money, this obviously includes LFS's which if anything will be affected worse, due to fishkeeping being a hobby and not a vital element of life...

    My Small Setup

Priced up the filter yesterday, 18 quid for the smallest one Eheim do! The LFS i visit regularly have some Glass Cats, quite tempted to get a few when the tanks ready, never really looked into the care of this species though, i've never thought about keeping them!

    My Small Setup

Hi mate, thanks for the reply. I'm quite experienced fish keeping wise, i completley agree with what you're saying, i'm not aiming to get anything bigger then about an inch anyway. Yeah its on my list of things to do along with finding a decent internal for it Cheers, John
