it is on the soft side in my area. I guess I'm looking for something bigger than what I have - The Rasboras are nice and active so I guess something that can life along side them but are quite different to look at

I started with one of the Fluval 46l Edge tanks with 4 Rasboras under a year ago.....they had a few babies (which I guess is a good indication of water quality/cleaning frequency) and so I have got a bigger tank (110 litre)   I believe this with give me space for about 28-30 inches of fully...

every two weeks I do a 10 to 20 percent change.......I keep an eye on the levels and it has been very stable since it first cycled at the start. The tank keeps itself very clean so I disturb it as little as possible

I have plants too, if that makes a difference - and every two weeks the intake filter(sponge) and the main filter (sponge) gets cleaned in tank water. I do not touch the bio-mass balls at all. I haven't physically changed the filter in the time I've had the tank....around 8 months. The nitrate...

6.8 ph and 0 for ammonia,nitrite and nitrate

I hope it isn't....I will keep a eye on him. The water quality seems fine....all test using the master kit are at the correct levels - as for old age, he is only 8 months old at most, is that old for a Espei Rasbora?

When I got it 4 months ago it did not have it.....it has happened in the last 2 weeks at most

I noticed this morning that one of my seven rasboras has a s-shaped spine in the last third....it is very active and can swim fine, and apart from this spine thing he looks normal. Notsure how long it has been like this as you can only see it from above and I don't often look from above, I tried...

I did a re-test before I was about to do a partial water change.....and it had gone back to 0ppm for the ammonia - so I left them alone

I had a possible faint shade of green in my ammonia test this morning....should I do a partial water change or let it sit for a day and re-test? Nitrite was 0

maybe you could do it like a prisoner digging a tunnel for his breakout.... put some water in your pocket....go to the garden and release it.....then take a glass of water up to your room - should only take you 100 trips. Your garden plants will be nicely watered and your parents won't worry...

I think they are espei

AA......two local places to me that sell fish have these fish and the both call these fish harlequin rasbora......so I'm not sure if the pic isn't clear or if both the shops are wrong. I'll do some research
